Safe and sound Couriers provides professional courier services specializing in the transportation of medical specimens, records, pharmaceutical products, and equipment. We operate within Sacramento County and Northern California ].

2. User Accounts and Booking

Accuracy: You agree to provide accurate information when booking, including package weight, dimensions, pickup/drop-off addresses, and handling requirements.
Account Security: If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
Booking Requirements: Clients must specify if items require temperature control or special handling.

3. HIPAA and Data Privacy

We recognize that items transported may contain Protected Health Information (PHI) under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
Our couriers are trained in HIPAA compliance, and we maintain strict confidentiality protocols.
A formal Business Associate Agreement (BAA) will be required for ongoing client relationships to ensure the secure handling of PHI.

4. Prohibited Items

We reserve the right to refuse transport of any item that is illegal, hazardous (unauthorized by DOT), or poses a danger to our staff or vehicles.

5. Fees and Payment

Rates are determined by service level (e.g., STAT, Scheduled, Same-Day) and distance.
Invoices are due upon receipt or according to your signed service contract. Late payments may result in suspension of service.

6. Limitation of Liability

While we strive for 100% accuracy, Safe and Sound Couriers is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from delays, loss, or damage, unless caused by gross negligence.
Claims: Claims for damaged or lost items must be submitted in writing within 24 hours of delivery.
Insurance: We maintain professional liability and cargo insurance up to 1 million per shipment.
